Customer Review: one less battery

If I use a kitchen timer with a battery, one thing is certain. The battery will die. It could go gracefully in its sleep, or it could fall in the line of duty-giving its last burst of power while my lentils overcook. This little timer could also throw a spring at some point, but if I was a betting man, I'd put my money on the mechanical timer.
Also, you know, one less spent battery is a good idea. I know I can drop off spent batteries at Best Buy for recycling, but still-they have to put it somewhere. Nasty chemicals.
There's a magnet on the back, which is convenient, and the strap is fun-kind of athletic in feel. I wish I could loosen a screw and take the magnet off. It's just glued on there.
Great timer-it ticks and then rings to let me know how long it's been.
