Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Polder 898-95 Clock, Timer and Stopwatch, BlackCustomer Review: Use in Kitchen and Classroom Summary: 4 StarsThis is a handy timer. I agree that having a cover over the buttons so you don't bump them while it's around your neck or in a pocket would be handy. The magnet on the back is nice so I can put it on the fridge or dry erase board. The hole busted on mine, so my husband drilled another hole into it so I can have the string in it if I want it mobile. STill works beautifully.
Customer Review: I love this timer! Summary: 5 StarsI have ADHD, so time management is very difficult for me - I own about 6 different timers, each of which has a different function, but I end up using this one the most. I use it to keep myself on track while cleaning, cooking, or getting ready in the morning, and as a morning alarm every day - instead of hitting snooze, if I have to, I just set it for ten more minutes. The strap is very convenient, and I simply wear it around my neck when walking from room to room, without having to remember to take it with me or where I left it, or that I was trying to keep myself on track - great for a space cadet with a five-second attention span. I like the 12/24 option, as well. I've been using it every day for way over a year now, and it's none worse for the wear, though it's taken a lot of abuse :). Now that I think about it, the plastic face did come off once (after I'd dropped it on the floor 50 times), but I simply superglued it back on, and no problem since. The only cons, as some people have mentioned, is that the buttons beep loudly when you're setting the timer, and you can't carry it around in your pocket or bag since they protrude and get pushed easily.
Customer Review: I Also Have Three! Summary: 5 StarsI use mine as a timer in the kitchen and at work. What is really great is that you set it for hours, minutes and seconds. My other timer would only do hours and minutes which is fine for cooking, but at work I really needed the seconds. I like that it is readily accessible around my neck and actually use it that way when cooking. That way I can walk around the house, have the TV on and still hear when the timer goes off. The buttons can be pushed inadvertently, but it usually ends up being my time/clock display, not actually resetting the timer itself. This is a minor negative and does not interfere with the way I use the clock/timer.
Wonderful device. Highly Recommend.
Customer Review: Versitile Summary: 5 StarsClock, count-up, and timer all run in parallel. So you can count-up your exercise, for example, while waiting for the alarm to tell you dinner is ready. Very intuitive, except for the fact--as at least one reviewer has noted--that to set the clock you need to add the seconds. That ran me around for a bit. One sentence on the one page of instructions would have saved that. I would suggest saving that page, with perhaps an edit for the seconds, when you need to replace the battery.
Customer Review: Keeping track of keeping track... Summary: 5 StarsThis is an item I use every day at work - to keep me on time for breaks and lunch. I'm absolutely lost without it...
